Osram LEDBL102 FX35 Bicycle LED Front light : The beam pattern of this type of light is very much superior to the typical round beam that you normally get

It is really a peculiar form, but it does have a useful beam for street riding, and has a acceptable runtime -enough for an all evening journey with watchful administration of the brightness.

It’s a peculiar shape, but it does have a useful beam for road riding, and has a reasonable runtime -adequate for an all night ride with careful management of the brightness.

This is actually a “roxim m6” light, branded as osram. If you look up the details of the roxim m6 on the manufacturers website, its quite an interesting light. Probably very similar to busch & muller lights in performance. The beam pattern of this type of light is very much superior to the typical round beam that you normally get on uk bike lights. Ideal for use on dark nights on roads, though not for off road use. I have a similar beam pattern on a busch & muller 70lux light and i’ll happily ride on country lanes in the darkest nights, knowing that i can see all the upcoming potholes. I can’t tell you about the quality of this light, only that the beam pattern and brightness is what i would recommend.
